Highway Code

You may think it's really neat,
To run, full pelt, across the street,
But if you hit a truck headfirst,
You'll always tend to come off worst.

I was revisiting some of my earlier poems and was reminded of Harry Graham's Rutheless Rhymes and Hillaire Belloc's Cautionary Tales. This is something of a homage to them both that I quickly scribbled.
